The Oldest Hotel in the World Has Been in Operation For 1,300 Years

If you ask any business owner, they will tell you that in order to run a successful and long-running business there are many sacrifices that you have to make. The first thing that I have learned about the issue is that no matter how much money you make, you have to keep on maintaining a low profile and not start spending wads of money on useless stuff. Hotels and businesses in general have many expenses, that you will need to satisfy once they make their presense visible. Also, in order to make your business evolve you might need to re-invest everything that you have earned, which means that spending excessive amounts is not a good choice.

Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan in Kyoto, Japan is the oldest hotel in the world that has been operated by the same family for the past 1,300 years.

Operated by 52 generation of the same family, each owner tries to expand the hotel and modernize its amenities.

The enhancements that have been made were very careful not to disturn the historic and traditional value of the space.

The hotel has been operating since 705 AD and it has hosted many famous people, including Samurai, political figures and various celebrities.
