What’s the first thing you do when you have a formal event to attend to? Well, it must be to open your wardrobe and see if you have anything to wear. If not, then you naturally go shopping and after a visit at about 4-5 shops you get disgusted by the prices and you decide to go buy a cheap dress and do the alterations that you want at home. At least that’s what YouTuber Amber Scholl decided to do in the hypothetical scenario of her prom dress. What she did was buy a cheap dress, some extra material that she liked and that was it for her to completely transform a simple dress into a lavish coutoure-looking prom dress.
She went at Goodwill, where she knew she would find something good
I mean, everybody knows that.
She found this simple, but plunging black dress that she didn’t tell us how much it cost
Money is not that important when you are so creative, anyway.
She also bought some crystal applique and feathers to complete her piece
She used scissors, a needle & thread and glue to piece everything together
It might seem simple, but the result is absolutely stunning.
The first thing she did is fold the back of the dress like an origami envelope so that it would be tighter on her body
What next, you might ask.
The result was way sexier than the original form of the dress
Then she glued the crystal applique all over the dress and made a tail from the feathers
The result is a sexy and glamorous prom dress!
