The beauty standards that our societies are still standing by have been formed due to many factors and the media is one of them. More specifically, comic books and children books use certain body types for specific characters. A princess is thin, a grandmother is overweight, a prince has blue eyes and an evil person has a big and ugly nose. Victoria Kosheleva is a character designer from Siberia and decided to break the rules and imagine how different princesses would look if they were a bit more extra. She puts our minds to think why physical beauty is always combined with a slimmer figure.

Chubby Snow White
She thought it would be very funny to imagine these ‘perfect’ creatures as modern women with a little more meat on their bones.
The project is named ‘’Fat Disney Princess’’ and even though it was uploaded back in 2016, it is now that everyone is starting to notice it.
For some people her drawings are a bit controversial, but in my very humble opinion they are only correcting the error of perfection.
No matter what, we can all admit that she is talented and creative.
Imaginary sea princess
What do you think of that one?
That’s probably my favorite one!
I think that we still have a lot of steps to make in order to reach a point where size really doesn’t matter and people can be who they want to be without any judgment.
