Have you ever thought the way Disney princesses are presented to the world? The majority of them are just pretty ladies who live their comfy lives from their castles and do nothing that is really meaningful. Illustrator Matt Burt decided to change the idea we have over these princesses and turn them into powerful role models who do good for the world. He searched carefully to see what career is best for each character based on their personality. He wanted to give all these characters a strong role in the society, which helps and inspires everyone.
Jasmine as a UN Ambassador.
Elsa and Anna as climate change scientists.
Pocahontas as the head of a non-profit focused on protecting the environment.
Mulan as a lawyer.
Rapunzel as a neurologist.
Ariel as a pop star and record producer.
Belle as a University Chancellor.
Snow White as a leading psychologist.
Tiana as a James Beard award-winning chef and restaurateur.
Merida as an Olympian.
Moana as an officer in the Navy.
Cinderella as an animal rights activist.
The misogyny that Disney princesses have been treated with is totally expected, since it’s men who have written their stories. Women are so much more than just pretty models waiting for their prince of a white horse.
