Artist Reimagines Popular Disney Princesses As Women in Powerful Positions

Have you ever thought the way Disney princesses are presented to the world? The majority of them are just pretty ladies who live their comfy lives from their castles and do nothing that is really meaningful. Illustrator Matt Burt decided to change the idea we have over these princesses and turn them into powerful role models who do good for the world. He searched carefully to see what career is best for each character based on their personality. He wanted to give all these characters a strong role in the society, which helps and inspires everyone.

The misogyny that Disney princesses have been treated with is totally expected, since it’s men who have written their stories. Women are so much more than just pretty models waiting for their prince of a white horse.
