What the fashion world is known for is its profound use of photoshop on models’ bodies. Not only magazines and clothing catalogs erase even the slightest ‘imperfection’ that models may be having on their bodies, but they even use their tools to make them look absolutely ‘perfect’. Boohoo used its large influence to change that and revealed a few of the models’ photos without photoshop. This is not the first brand that makes a move like this, but its surely something to talk about. People -and mostly women- are saying ”Finally!” to this action and they believe that it was about time that ‘real women’ were shown to the world instead of fake bombshells.
This model is proudly showing her stretch marks.
You can see how different she looks in the photoshopped picture.
The ‘perfect’ images may be more attractive to the eyes, but the real ones are making women feel closer to these models.
No woman, including these models, has absolutely flawless skin. This is a myth that the fashion and beauty world wants you to believe.
Just because women have stretch marks and cellulite, it doesn’t mean that they are less beautiful.
This is simply the nature of the female body and everyone should finally accept it.
The ‘imperfections’ are what make us humans and not dolls.
We have gotten to a point where women are finally fed up with the unrealistic portrayal of their bodies. No woman has an absolutely flawless skin and this is something that everyone should realize and accept.
