Lucy Sparrow is a British contemporary artist, who has made a name for herself for her incredible creations made of felt and wool. In her latest project, an entire supermarket was filled with everyday items that we all buy at the grocery store, only this time everything was made of wool. She created over 31,000 pieces and those visiting the installation could actually buy the items that ranged from $5 to $7.45. The supermarket represents a fictional space that resembles the grocery store’s of the 1980s. Lucy felt that L.A was the perfect place to hold this installation, since it is one of the brightest cities around the world and would fit perfectly the theme of her work.
