Mike Wilson and Megan Hanneman are a couple that together owns a company that makes wall-mounted cat furniture that promotes activity for indoor cats. A couple months ago they decided to add another cat to their family that would keep company to their other two cats. They visited their nearest shelter and they instantly fell in love with this 33-pound cat named Bronson. After discussing with a staff member and learning his past, the couple decided to adopt him, since they both couldn’t stop smiling with excitement. Bronson was very friendly and as they discovered later quite the ladies man. Together they began his journey to help him lose weight and be healthy again.
Bronson used to live with an elderly person, who died and left him homeless. The people at the shelter guess that this elderly person used to feed him more than the necessary amount.
Bronson is a polydactyl cat and has extra fingers. What’s more noticeable about him is his very cute thumbs and his front feet.
Overweight cats can get Fatty Liver Disease and it is very important for them to start losing weight slowly and steadily.
So far, they have adjusted Bronson’s diet three times, but his progress is positive. Currently, he is on a 375 calories per day.
