Those who travel frequently or dedicate their entire lives to travelling the world are usually searching for something, something that they won’t rest until they find. Most of these people have a mission that can’t be achieved by just sitting inside their house. Photographer Mihaela Noroc is probably one of those people. She might not have dedicated her entire life to travelling, but she spent a few years abroad trying to create her own unique project that meant a lot to her and wishes to inspire many others.
Kathmandu, Nepal. Mihaela spent the past four years travelling with the only company of her camera and the women she met in person.
Wakhan Corridor, Afgahanistan. She is 31 years old and she was brought up in a painter’s house, where colors were dominant.
Idomeni Refugee Camp, Greece. She discovered photography at 16, but couldn’t turn it into an occupation, so she did other jobs in the following years.
Reykjavik, Iceland. At the age of 27, she decided to quit her ordinary life in Bucharest and spend her life savings on travelling the world.
Havana, Cuba. Her project The Atlas Of Beauty became very successful around the world and inspired many people.
Omo Valley, Ethiopia. Even though she is successful, she still is the same girl who backpacked around the world with her humble camera.
Paris, France. She considers herself an ordinary person, who happens to be recognized and applauded by the media for her work.
Cuenca, Ecuador. She is not done with her project just yet. She still feels the need to go out in the streets and photograph the different women existing out there.
Beauty is such a misconception. We call someone beautiful based on the way their face’s characteristics are lined up. You have seen and heard stories about how the prettiest people on the outside are the ugliest human beings. Beauty has nothing to do with the face you carry on you. Beauty is linked to your soul and a beautiful soul makes you a beautiful human being.
