Urban photography is something that pretty much anyone can dive into, but as easy as it seems it is actually a lot tougher to achieve successfully. Taking a camera and strolling around the streets isn’t enough. A photographer has to have some perspective on how and what they will photograph. Victor Chiang knows exactly how he is going to capture Shanghai and its unique landscapes. The neon lights are a big help by themselves but it’s his perspective and artistic approach that make his pictures look like they popped out of the movie.

Everything looks so much better at night than during the day. Romance and warmth is produced through the neon lights and people feel hugged and alone at the same time. It is magnificent what a picture can tell you without uttering one word.
