Venezuelan artist Maria Guadarrama created a series of comics, called The Unspoken Truth, where she blends in the emotional humour with deep thinking. Her comics do not wish to make people laugh, but dive into their souls and minds and see how they can improve themselves and their stance towards life and its difficulties. Maria worked for sometime in a Venezuelan newspaper, where she was only allowed to draw specific themes and couldn’t draw anything about politics, migration and economy. Now that she has moved to Chile, she feels free to draw whatever she wants and mainly things that she wasn’t allowed to draw back in Venezuela.

How many times have you experienced or witnessed that?
Carrying your part with you only slows you down from moving into the future.
Sometimes you end up with the one who seems like the best match for you, but really isn’t.
If women realize that then men are going to be convinced about it.
The right person sees your worth and tries to help it flourish instead of trying to diminish it.

Getting in touch with your feelings and your inner thoughts will always make you feel better and overcome any issue you’re facing.
It’s nice having someone help you lifting your burden.
Sometimes it’s not that easy, and that’s ok.
Not only Maria’s comics are uplifting, but they are also making you take a deep dive into yourself and search for those things that make you unhappy. Being in touch with your unpleasant inner self makes you come at peace with it easier.
