A team of 58 scientists started an expedition with the sole goal to discover the unique and unusual creatures that can be found 4,000 meters under the sea level. The project was hosted by the University of Tasmania and funded by the Australian Government and what the scientists found was simply magical. They went from 4,000 to 6,000 meters deep and they found some quite creepy creatures, which is understandable if you consider the fact that they don’t receive any light at all and the food they get their hands on is very little.

It is incredible what can be hiding under the sea surface and how these creatures adapt to their environment in order to survive. Discovering new species make us feel like we are just one more addition to this magnificent planet.
